Thailand is mourning one of the deadliest school shootings in its recent history after a gunman opened fire at a high school in Nonthaburi Province, on the outskirts of Bangkok. At least six people were killed and more than a dozen others were injured in the attack. Police have identified the suspect as a 14-year-old student at the school.

According to authorities, the shooting occurred on the morning of August 7 at Debsirin Nonthaburi School. Police say the teenage suspect brought a firearm—reportedly owned legally by his grandfather—to school and entered the campus as if it were a normal school day.
